OPEN SUGAR BOWL or CANDY DISH This over 100 year-old open sugar bowl or candy dish was hand painted by A.K. Winters (or possibly Winturs) in 1915. In addition to the delightful design there is a gold rim and the handles are also painted gold. It measures 5 1/2" in diameter, including the handles and stands 2 1/2" tall, also including the handles. The green, under-glaze, mark was used beginning in 1903 and ending with the take-over by Hutschenreuther in 1927. COVERED BUTTER or CHEESE DISH This covered butter, or cheese, dish has a white background with orange, stylized, flowers and is trimmed in hand painted gold. The green, under-glaze, mark was used beginning in 1903 and ending in 1927 with the take-over by Hutschenreuther in 1927. Handpainted in red, on the reverse of the underplate, are the numbers 1063 over the number 3. It stands 4" tall, including the finial with the underplate 6" in diameter. Other than a slight bit of wear to the gold on the rim of the underplate both pieces are in excellent condition. SOLD
